Your privacy matters.

This notice explains how The Be Good Project Foundation (BGP) handles information submitted through thebegoodproject.org and its initiatives. It is intended to be clear and practical; it is not a promise that internet transmission or storage can be completely secure.

Information we collect

Depending on the feature you use, we may receive your name, phone number, email, general location, availability, skills, initiative interests, volunteer preference, messages, and technical information normally sent by a browser. Popoy may store a participant identifier, profile selections, practice progress, and optional feedback. Please do not submit passwords, government identification numbers, medical records, or other sensitive information through general forms.

How we use it

We use information to respond to requests, coordinate volunteers, operate and improve initiatives, protect the website, and keep necessary organizational records. We do not sell personal information.

Storage and sharing

Volunteer submissions are recorded in a protected spreadsheet-ready CSV file and sent by email to BGP. Initiative information may be stored in browser storage or a BGP-controlled database when the feature is enabled. Access should be limited to authorized people who need it for BGP work. We may use hosting, email, database, or security providers that process information for us, and may disclose information when legally required or necessary to protect people and systems.

Retention and your choices

We keep information only while reasonably needed for the purpose collected, legal obligations, safety, or legitimate organizational records, then delete or de-identify it when practical. You may ask to access, correct, or delete information by emailing seattlebgp@gmail.com. We may need to verify the request and may retain records when legally required.

Children and caregivers

Children should not independently submit personal information. Popoy is intended for use with a parent, legal guardian, caregiver, educator, or other authorized adult. An adult should review any information before it is submitted or synchronized. BGP will obtain additional consent when required by applicable law.

Photos, videos, stories, and testimonials

BGP seeks permission before intentionally publishing identifiable photos, recordings, personal stories, or testimonials. Permission for promotional use should be optional and separate from volunteering or receiving services. A parent or legal guardian must authorize use involving a minor. To request removal of personal content, contact us using the email above; removal from BGP-controlled pages may not remove copies previously shared or cached elsewhere.

Links to outside websites are governed by those websites’ privacy practices. BGP is not responsible for their content or handling of information.

We may update this notice as projects evolve and will change the effective date above. Questions and privacy or content-removal requests may be sent to seattlebgp@gmail.com.
