Paying it forward
After graduating from college, Apollo experienced one of the biggest challenges in his life: hunger. From that point, he was helped by his family, their local foodbank, the King County and WA State DSHS (DSWD in PH). After being able to lift himself out of poverty and hunger he experienced himself, Apollo wanted to pay it forward. Inspired by his hardship, he started The Be Good Project Foundation (BGP) with his friends in 2012 to solve the problem of hunger in a new way.
Today with the help of their selfless volunteers, BGP not only provides limited soup kitchen/feeding programs and youth leadership workshops but they are also a staunch advocate for children’s education. Apollo believes that education and the use of technology are the two keys to ending children’s hunger and poverty. BGP is also about to launch their biggest project yet, the Banana App.
